Did you know that Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs offer a variety of energy efficient components?
Our hot tubs are designed and engineered to offer a wide variety of features and advanced technology. It’s easy to assume that an innovative brand of hot tubs that offers such technology might be expensive to operate.
Fortunately for you, that isn’t the case at all because Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs makes energy efficiency a main priority and offer a brand of hot tubs that are affordable to operate.
Advanced Hot Tub Technology
Energy efficient hot tubs begin with energy-efficient technology.
The J-1000™ is an energy efficient and user-friendly control system. The control system is easily programmed, and ultimately allows you to save costs on your energy bill. You can tweak the controls based on your personal preference and usage. The spa can be set to a modest temperature or even pre-set energy-efficient options can be applied. After the temperature is set, the system can be locked to prevent any unauthorized access.
Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs come fully-equipped with a programmable circulation pump that is engineered to heat, filter and sanitize in a way that is energy-efficient. The circulation pump also works to transfer the heat created by the motor directly into the water. Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs also feature energy-saving immersion heating.
The heaters are equipped with a titanium heating element and housing that offers ultra-low watt density and energy conservation. The immersion heating increases thermal efficiency and saves energy.
You should avoid constantly changing the temperature when the hot tub isn’t in use because it usually makes a minor, if not insignificant, difference on your energy bill. It can even put unnecessary stress on your spa system. The only time to lower the temperature of your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub is if the spa won’t be used for a significant amount of time, such as a week or more.
Efficient Hot Tub Insulation
Now that your Jacuzzi® Hot Tub has created the heat in a way that is energy efficient, it’s time to keep it properly insulated. It’s important to make sure that your hot tub cover is in good condition and is trapping the heat inside.
Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are designed and manufactured to offer full-foam insulation throughout the spa. Two types of foam insulation are embedded within the compartment between the shell and skirt to ensure the heat stays inside, even when it’s cold outside. Water temperature is maintained longer and more efficiently because of the TriFusion™ shell and foam insulation. These components work to conserve energy and reduce heating costs.
SmartSeal™ insulation is an optional energy efficient feature that is most beneficial for Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs in colder climates. The insulation blanket can help to reduce energy usage by up to 25 per cent. It also helps to protect your spa from moisture, mold and reduces operating noises. It even consists of environmentally-friendly recycled materials.
Energy Efficient Features
The jet pumps featured in Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are designed to offer a cost-effective, high-performance jet power. The low amp circulation pump helps to increase the overall vigorous massage power, clean water, and regulate the temperature, while lowering costs on the energy bill.
The lights featured within all Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs are manufactured using LED technology. LED lightbulbs produce more light per watt than incandescent bulbs, last longer, and cost less to operate.
